A Curriculum That Focuses on Maximum Growth for Your Child

Elementary education is the basis for the child’s future and determines his/ her success in life. At Presidency, we believe that children must receive a thorough grounding of whatever concepts they learn and that this learning has to be integrated with life. The motto of the school is, ‘maximum growth of each learner’.

Therefore, all Presidency Schools have a self-designed curriculum, which has evolved after years of research and expertise. The curriculum is based on a Thematic or Integrated approach to studying.

Our Methodology of Teaching is Best Explained Through the Four Stages of Schooling Your Child Goes Through.

Kindergarten

A stage when your toddler is curious about everything around

Primary School

A stage when your child starts to learn new concepts and ideas

Middle School

A stage when your child is hungry for knowledge & learning

High School

A stage when your child looks forward to a bright future

Kindergarten

At the kindergarten level, we follow the Integrated Montessori approach. This approach seeks to sensitize toddlers to the learning environment, by reaching out to their intelligence and understanding their unique talents.

Toddlers are quick to learn things through their interaction with the environment around them. Which is why, we introduce experiential learning at this early stage itself. This nurtures their curiosity and helps develop their cognitive and analytical skills.

Fun is an important aspect of learning for tiny tots. So we ensure that there isn’t a dull moment in their day at PSBN.

A powerful and pleasing kindergarten environment that nurtures your child’s curiosity

  • Culture of care and support to make the students comfortable and make learning a fun activity.
  • A lush green landscaped 6.5 acre campus
  • Spacious, well ventilated and scientifically designed classrooms
  • Montessori Labs for complete cognitive learning
  • Rumpus Room for full-fledged indoor activities
  • Scientific visual learning aids
  • Outdoor activity and play areas dedicated to the kindergarteners, including sand pits, water play area, etc.

Primary School

Primary school (Grade I-V) is when children begin to learn concepts that form the basis of their understanding of life. This is the time when they need to be eased into comprehending and grasping theoretical ideas that can be stored for future reference. So before they are taught anything, they need to learn how to learn.Students at the primary level therefore, are exposed to myriad learning tools and stimuli to explore and develop their multiple intelligences. The primary school classroom looks more like a curiosity studio – with interactive learning aids, colourful display boards, a class library and activity zones. The well-ventilated and brightly lit classrooms are equipped with comfortable and ergonomically designed seating arrangements. Academic development apart, they begin to recognize and build their natural talents in our scientifically designed sports facilities and fine arts studios.

An effective and encouraging primary school environment that stimulates your child’s mind and body

  • Field trips and excursions for students to absorb, interact and to learn from the environment. This also improves a student’s life skills, boosts their confidence and ability to take independent decisions
  • Exposure to internal and external competitions to promote skills, talents and creativity, both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Thematic and special assemblies to celebrate all important festivals and occasions with a view to imbibe moral values in the students and make them proud of the rich Indian culture and heritage.
  • Extra curricular activities and physical education classes are a part of the regular curriculum to promote holistic development of students.
  • Planned Homework schedule to enable the student to work in a regular and systematic manner to revise the main points taught in class.
  • Well-equipped classrooms with interactive learning facilities
  • Spacious, well-ventilated and comfortable learning areas
  • Extensive exposure to sports, creative skills and fine arts
  • Innovative learning aids: language labs, theatre in education, etc.

Middle School

Once children are given a taste of knowledge, their curiosity and yearning knows no bounds. They seek answers to all their questions. They sample different subjects to understand what they like the most. They experiment with different activities to discover where their interest lies. And they devour every source of information to pacify their hunger for learning. This is the stage when it’s most important to develop a foundational knowledge that will help them scale the heights of success at the High School level.

The Middle School (Grade VI-VIII) at Presidency School North is abuzz with activity. Well-qualified and experienced mentors help instil a love for subjects, and encourage them to have an investigative mind to explore the many knowledge banks that open up. Regular assessments and assignments help optimize the learning experience. And parents are kept informed to help guide the children towards positive learning.

Full-fledged fitness and sports programs, as well as an array of fine arts activities, including music, dance, dramatics, art, etc. help develop a well-rounded personality in children. At this level, the focus is mainly on the social, personal and intellectual growth of the child.

High School

High School is the threshold of what the future holds for the child. High school students are at a stage when everything they do and every decision they take, determines their role and success in society.

Therefore, the emphasis on academic excellence is the highest at the high school level (Grade IX-X), with intense coaching, assignments and assessments throughout the academic year. Every student is also given individual attention in order to help them achieve their highest potential. Teacher-parent interaction is encouraged, to help the guardians track and promote their child’s progress at this crucial academic juncture.

Apart from sports and talent promotion, vocational counselling is introduced to help students plan their choice of professional courses. Leadership skills and team spirit are instilled by involving the students in the school’s event planning and management activities.
