‘Meddling into the Mantle town’ book by Shirin S Kulkarni

We’re always amazed by the stories of our bright, young authors come up with. Every child deserves to experience the excitement of becoming a published author. This is the journey of our very talented Shirin S Kulkarni of Presidency School Bangalore North and this is about her recent publication.
This story is about 4 friends that live in a town called Mantle town, the name is inspired by the word ‘mantle’ which means protection. The 4 friends dedicate their 2 high school years to solve a mystery. Are you the one who look out for genre mystery, then look out for the book ‘Meddling into the Mantle town’ and encourage the budding artist.
Shirin is a very creative and has a flair for writing and it is admirable that she has come up with a wonderful story that can fill our hearts, make us smile and fire up our imagination. This is surely a great achievement and a proof of your skills and potentials. Good luck for your future achievements, hope to see you rise always.

Faculty Friday

A dedicated and persistent teacher who joined Presidency School, Bangalore North in the year 2012 as HOD – Kannada Department. Seeing her expertise and dedication she was given the responsibility of being a member of the Examination Department. Ms. Shobha K.S. proved to be a multi-tasker as a Curie House Warden. She has always implemented a creative instructional strategy towards her lessons. She works hard and creates engaging lessons that help the students grasp the concepts faster.

A teacher who demonstrates punctuality and professionalism, she encourages her students to do their best. She does not hesitate to go the extra mile and strives to see her students succeed, like conducting extra classes for them as and when required.

No school event is complete without Ms. Shobha KS adding her artistic touch to the Lamp at the entrance and decorating it with rangoli and flowers.

SIP Arithmetic Genius Contest (AGC) Winnings – Akshitha

SIP Arithmetic Genius Contest (AGC) is an All India Arithmetic competition for students of 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Grade where they are tested for basic addition/subtraction (for class 2 & 3) and multiplication (for class 4) skills.

This year, AGC was conducted entirely in virtual mode where 3,25,000 students, 800 schools, 20 states participated in the preliminary round, held in November 2020.

Akshitha of Grade 3B from Presidency School, Bangalore North secured the FIRST PLACE in the state round receiving a cash prize of Rs. 10,000. She also secured 4th place in the National Level finals held in February 2021. Congratulations Akshitha, we are very proud of you !!!

Abhinav Muthanna Somayanda -SOF International English Olympiad Winnings

Presidency School, Bangalore North is happy to share the results of SOF International English Olympiad conducted in 2020-21 where our student Abhinav Muthanna Somayanda of Grade 7F has secured 1st place in his Grade, 11th in Zonals & 18th in the International Level.

He has been awarded with gifts worth Rs.500/- a merit distinction & certificate of distinction. Keep it up Abhinav, we are proud of you !!!

Education World Grand Jury Awards 2020-21

Situated in the rapturous location of Yelahanka, Presidency school Bangalore North feels venerated and jubilant for the glorious acclaim that it received recently. The school has been proudly ranked as the 7th Educational Institution in India and 3rd in Bangalore and Karnataka in terms of its Library and Reading culture by the Education World Grand Jury Awards 2020-21.

The school has set the standards high thus its mettle has been recognized. Presidency School Bangalore North metamorphosed to the Online platform quite effectively in a short span of time. The scenario that unfolded in March was quite an unprecedented one. The apprehensions and inhibitions with which the classes initiated were quite a few. But with the strong backing of the management and the support of the teaching and technical staff there was actually no looking back. The school always ensured that the parents are kept in the loop through a continuous communication channel. We can proclaim with confidence that this pandemic and its aftermath, though tough has seen us at Presidency managing with dignity. Any mode of appreciation is another feather in the recipient’s cap, be it for an individual or an organisation, to excel.

The concept of the Award on Wheels is an innovative one in the present scenario. It has been a very gratifying experience to receive this prestigious award. Every one worked in tandem and this award has been an upsurge in the confidence and self-esteem of each member at Presidency.

International level of IGKO exam Rankings

We are glad to announce that Sehaj Madli of Grade 4A, Presidency School, Bangalore North has secured 4th rank in the International level of IGKO exam. He has been awarded with Zonal Level Certificate, Gold Medal & gifts worth Rs.1000/-

“The Dancing Ballerina” by Oshmita Sengupta

It gives us immense pleasure in informing you that Oshmita Sengupta, studying in Class III, Section A, at School – Presidency North – Bangalore, has won the State Level Modern Dance Championship in Karnataka, held in Mysore on 7th Sept 2014. Oshmita has won the Gold Medal in this championship. She has performed Contemporary & Ballet mixed dance for the Sub Junior category.

By winning Gold Medal in this Championship, she is now eligible to contest at the National Level Modern Dance Championship, organized by IDF (International Dance Federation – Italy) in association with Amateur Dance Federation of India and Karnataka Amateur Dance Sports Association (KAMDSA).
